The 17th century doesn't seem to be very popular. Being mostly interested in costuming, I have noticed that there are plenty of costumes made, up to 1600 and then there's a gap until you reach the 18th century. I find the 17th century very interesting historically, but also visually. So I decided to create this group in the hope of collecting what has been created with the 17th century in mind. Perhaps it can spark more interest?

Submissions
Just some brief words on what will be accepted in this community. It’s really quite simple- everything that has to do with the 17th century, which means the years 1600-1699. I admit that there can be some fuzziness in that definition. For example, a person depicted may have been born or died in another century. A portrait of a historical person is only accepted if it depicts that person during the 17th century and not because s/he lived parts of their life in the 1600’s. So if your deviation isn’t accepted, it will not be because of the quality, but because it doesn’t fit the time period.

I must confess to finding the way you set up a group a bit confusing. I managed to block memebers from submitting and I managed to block people from joining. That seems to have been fixed now, but I hope people haven't tried to join and then up when they were rejected. I don't think this group will ever be large, so it would be a pity to have lost potential member because I can't set up a group properly.
