ToCG: King of Land, and King of SeaTo say King Charles was thrilled with Greyhound was an understatement. The King who was known as 'The Merry Monarch', was altogether enthralleded with the stories of buccaneering and roving that Greyhound told. To be honest, the King was the sort of man who enjoyed bold rogues. There was a sort of cavalier romanticism of swashbuckling that he admired in the buccaneers, and Greyhound personified the grandeur of it in all that he did. perhaps this would even encourage the king further when dealing with Bartholomew Sharp, Colonel Blood and Henry Morgan years later.
